Last month I did this painting of the birds of Eastern North Carolina. This was a commission, and such a fun project. I'd love to do more specialized field guide paintings for areas all over the world!
While most of the birds in my paintings are the colorful male birds, it was requested that I include the female cardinal in this one. I was happy to oblige, they are such beautiful birds!
