I was invited to paint a Little Free Library that will be installed outside Dandelion Communitea in Orlando. An awesome project at an awesome place- so of course I was thrilled to be a part of it!
The first challenge was working with acrylics. I work in watercolor on paper, and acrylics on an upright wooden object... a lot different! Luckily with acrylics you can paint over mistakes, so I think it turned out well in the end! The front:
Snail reading a book on the front:
The side:
Tufted Titmouse carrying a book on the side:
Squirrel reading a book on the side:
The other side:
Ruby-throated Hummingbird with thistle:
Cardinals reading a book:
And that's it! I can't wait to see it installed! Check out Little Free Library to see more about this world wide project and find one near you.
