Spring Hammock Preserve.
Here are a few photos from the faeryland that is Spring Hammock Preserve, home to many ancient cypress trees.

Spring is here! And with the spirit of Spring, here are some nesting Great Egret's, with their beautiful plumage and green lore's of breeding season...

My Bird Nest No. 36 is the Sandhill Crane. The nest is made of embroidery floss and dried flowers. Here we have some Sandhill Crane's that are about a week old. I have visited them twice now, and I already want to see them again. The cuteness is too much!
The "waterfalls" of Florida.
This is what a waterfall looks like in Florida. That is one of the best I've ever seen around here. Actually a couple feet to fall! And it makes that calming sound of rushing water. This is one is much smaller, you can hardly see it... Both are along the Econ River, among the cypress knees. Nice little sights off the beaten path.
Work in progress: Salamanders.
My next painting to begin will be of Salamanders. Here is the work in progress, before painting: I draw them in my sketchbook, then scan them in, use photoshop to lay them out, print, and transfer to watercolor paper. Now, the best part! To begin painting!
