The Little Nuthatch — great-crested flycatcher

This new bird nest painting was inspired by my little friends from this Spring, the Great Crested Flycatchers that nested in the dead tree in my backyard. I got to see them building the nests with things like snake skins (how do they find this stuff?) and then after a bit they were bringing food to the nest, carrying huge insects in their beaks.
