The Little Nuthatch

The ducks are returning, and the number of wading birds increasing. Oh, but how things go. I miss all the warblers that were passing through, and I guess my friendly Catbird and Ovenbird in the front yard have moved on further as I've not seen them in a few weeks. But now there are flocks of Robins... and much much more to look forward to.

I love fall! But sadly we had a high of 85 today.

Leo and Diane Dillon are an artists couple I have admired since childhood when I read Wise Child based solely on the gorgeous cover they had illustrated (note: loved the book!), from there I started to notice their illustrations elsewhere and began seeking them out. They are awesome artists, creating fabulous multicultural picture books with the most amazing textile designs! The Race of the Golden Apples: Wind Child: Their son is also a talented sculptor with work in Wind Child and some of their other books.

'Daily Animal Doodles November' I've been missing Daily Animal Doodles! Since we are on to repeating some animals I thought I might do Winter/Christmas themed ones. I'm starting in mid-month, just in time for the upcoming holidays... November #15 Barn Owl
