Inspirational Artists: Hilary Knight

Hilary Knight is famous as the illustrator of Eloise. Eloise is of course fabulous, but I am more inspired by his fairy tale art such as  Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, and The Owl and The Pussycat. I find the art in these picture books to be particularly stunning, especially Beauty and Beast with it's art nouveau style. At Merritt Island last weekend.

Here are some photos from Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge last weekend. I went to the beach, and took a drive down Bio-Lab Road, a little road along the Mosquito Lagoon. My favorite moment was spotting a beautiful blue Scrub Jay, although I did not get a photo, I was too busy enjoying the sight!   Today our first real cold front of the season came through. It's wonderful, and I am forming plans for adventures this weekend! Can't wait!

Daily Animal Doodles September #18-#30.

'Daily Animal Doodles September' I managed to whip out the rest of September's Daily Animal Doodles! I'm surprised I got it done, but luckily there were a lot of easy ones, like many birds and a mermaid. Also it's been raining all weekend and I'm stuck inside! But the snow leopard was hard so it just got a face. Sorry dude. Bird watching this morning.

Took a walk this morning and did some bird watching. All the usual suspects were out, as well as an Eagle, two pairs of Eastern Bluebirds, and lots of little Warblers.
