The Little Nuthatch
Pretty things in my studio.
I'm moving soon, and today I am packing up my studio. I love the space I've created here and it's a little sad to pack up, hopefully my new space will be great too, but it's definitely going to be a different sort of thing. I took some photos before I started packing up, so here is a look: The crochet lily of the valley above is from Suili on etsy. That is my handy dandy scale for shipping, and filled with yarn is a bowl I made from shredded paper, you can view that craft here at Woman's Day....
Work in progress, one hour in.
I have sadly not been doing the Daily Animal Doodles for the month of August, there is just a lot going on. September is just as busy, but I miss them so hopefully I can get back to it then. In the meantime, here is a little glimpse of the watercolor paintings I started yesterday. I did a one hour demo on watercolor painting at Michaels. I learned that most people are discouraged by this type of painting, so I tried to convince them that it's easy! I did two pieces to allow one piece to dry while working on...
The Sketchbook Project.
Last weekend I went to see The Sketchbook Project exhibit. They gave you a library card and you could check out two books at a time. I checked out sketchbooks at random based on themes. It was very interesting! Here is a little glimpse at some of the sketchbooks I saw:
Daily Animal Doodles #28, #30, & #31.
'Daily Animal Doodles July' July #28 Walrus I skipped #29 which was the Yeti. Sorry Yeti! July #30 Yak July #31 Zebra Scary! That wraps up the month!
