The Little Nuthatch — mushrooms
Oh, Summer. It's rare that you are pleasant to be out in.

We are having lower humidity today, so it was a nice morning to be out. I took the chance to go around to my parents and take a walk. This wild bunny is often seen in my parents backyard: Clavulinopsis laeticolor: I also got to observe some birds and deer, although I did not have the camera ready, they made me quite happy!
Black Hammock.

I went to the Black Hammock trail this week, it was my first time there. It starts out lush and beautiful, with some lovely boardwalks. Really really nice. Unfortunately it then turns into a trail that is wide, sunny with no shade, mostly palmettos, and with areas that have been cut down or burned. Most of the trail is like this. I did see some wildlife- birds, a turtle, a snake (perhaps a pygmy rattlesnake? I'm not sure), and baby ducks!!
Tosohatchee.
I had never been to Tosohatchee State Reserve before, so yesterday my friend Marissa and I checked it out. This place is on 28000 acres. It is VAST. We did a trail at parking spot "29"... yes, there are at least 28 more parking spots...meaning... 28 more trails!! My goodness! I really can't wait to explore more. We saw a few armadillo, and a lot of birds, including a Bald Eagle.
A few photos from an afternoon outside.
Walk today.
My weekend off started with the best thing ever- a walk through the woods at my parents house.
