Day 2, I share with you my first watercolor painting. I took a class in January 2005 and was hooked. Day 1, I am going back to 2001/2002, before I started watercolor painting. I was using a Prismacolor pencils and markers (LOTS of colorless blender markers to blend the pencils), and nupastels for the backgrounds.

I did this painting a while back, totally just having fun painting, playing with colors and making up my own bird (reminds me a little of a Resplendent Quetzal). Sometimes you just need to take a break and play, no worrying about references, accuracy, or usefulness!

Koala Yummies.

Koala bear and girl with eucalyptus hair. I don't know, I can't seem to help referring to this painting as "Kaola Yummies", after the Japanese snacks with adorable koalas printed on them.
