New stationery and prints.
I made some new stationery with Little Red Riding Hood. No big bad wolf though... I'm thinking that's in the past and now she can pick flowers without worry! I actually did this painting just for the front page on my website, but when I was done I thought "stationery!" It's fold up stationery, which I've always been particularly fond of. < I've also got some new matted prints. I did these paintings specifically to fit these mats, which I love and have been holding on to for a couple years as I tried to figure out what to do...
Sea dragon and coral.
Christmas and the new year have certainly been busy! Poor blog needs an update. Let's start with something simple--I finished a new painting over the weekend. This is something I was slowly working on since I visited the Georgia Aquarium in August. What an awesome place!! This piece was inspired by the sea dragon and coral there.
Rufus Wainwright.
On Friday night my boyfriend and I went to see Rufus Wainwright. He had not been to Florida in many years and I'm so glad he returned. Last time he was here he came to the House of Blues with a full band, including Teddy Thompson, and Martha Wainwright opening. It was amazing! Of course, I imagine every show he's done has been amazing. This was very different from that, more relaxed and just beautiful!! He played solo, at a seated venue- a nice performing arts center in Melbourne. We had great seats in the fourth row. I was smiling...
