The Little Nuthatch — bald eagle
Birds here and there.

And here, I present... a random assortment of photos from birding last month. This warbler above, not sure on the ID- juvenile Palm Warbler, maybe? Very beautiful with that little bit of color! And this one above, pardon the bad photo, but I was thrilled to get a look at a RAIL! Pretty rare find for me. Question is, what Rail? Clapper Rail? That one was taken at Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge.
Nesting season is go.

It hardly seems like time for nesting season quite yet, but the larger birds start early. I took this photo of an active Eagle nest back on January 9th: Spot the nest high up in the middle of the tree? They're giant! These was a Bald Eagle in the nest that was up to something. Feeding chicks? I couldn't tell, but I wish them well!
Eagle Watch Update.
I drive by the Eagle nest every couple of days to see how they are doing. There are two Eaglets which both seem to be doing okay. I usually stop by on my way home and don't have the camera with me, when I do bring the camera they decide to be shy! Despite the bad lighting, I did snap a shot of one this last time (with parent). They are big!
Keeping an eye on those Eagles.
The Eagle Watch has been pretty uneventful so far...
The Great Eagle Watch of 2012 is on.
Eagle's now watching the nest! Time for me to start watching too!
