I recently headed down to Delray Beach for Stitch Rock. This year I was in a little room off to the side, sharing the space with new friends, Neo Granny and Benchmade Studio. I had a great time! I've explored very little of the nature in South Florida, so I arrived in Delray Beach early to check out their Wakodahatchee Wetlands before the show. This is a water reclamation facility with a vast boardwalk allowing you to get very close to the birds. I was thrilled to see some Cormorants still nesting there, although not at all with little ones!...

Florida scrub land is endangered, rare and beautiful land on a sandy ridge. Since we just had three weeks of rain and many trails are flooded, I headed to Lyonia Preserve, nice dry scrub, and home to many families of friendly Florida Scrub Jay.
Summer is here.
It is June, now officially Summer, and HOT. But all the critters are out! You will see a lot of amazing things at this time of year. I have been pushing myself to go out and haven't regretted one moment.

Last month I was busy creating some very specific things for people. The first piece was for my friend that I just visited in Colorado. I wanted to thank her with a painting, so I did this piece of her three dogs: That is the second time I have painted pets/dogs. It takes a lot of concentration and looking at photos on instagram! ha!
