The Little Nuthatch
Winter flowers.
Soon it will be Spring, as we are already getting the first signs of new buds and flowers... but I do love the dried up flowers and grasses of Winter, just as beautiful. Seems fitting for this dreary overcast day.
Beach birds.
Weather is in the 80s this week making the beach pretty crowded for January. I can see why, as it feels amaaazing! Of course I was there for the birds. The terns always look like they're angry at each other, I just think these guys had a tiff and are going "hmph!"
Merritt Island.

Here are some birds from Merritt Island a few days ago. There is so much to see, I could be there all day. There was a Bittern attracting the most attention, I didn't take any photos because it was just so crowded. The Horned Grebe is my favorite! It's so cute. Reddish Egret.

Reddish Egrets were prancing and dancing all around at Black Point Drive yesterday. This is how they catch their food, unlike other egrets and herons that patiently wait... I definitely prefer the entertaining feeding dance of the Reddish Egret! And done!
A colony of Ibis.
Went down to check out the large Lake Harney the other day. Just the right moment too, as a immediately this colony of ibis came flying in... So beautiful to watch a flock of birds weaving about the sky.
