A cold and windy morning.

On Wednesday a cold front rolled in, bringing clouds and wind up to 30 mph. I had the day off so I headed out to Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge for the sunrise. With the cloud cover it was no great sunrise, but it was still incredibly beautiful.   The wind!! I often see wild boar in the water, but seeing a raccoon was a first for me.

Wild blackberries.

Yesterday afternoon I went picking wild blackberries and blueberries. The blackberries are plentiful all along the road sides and hiking trails around here. The wild blueberries are harder to find, they are small bushes low to the ground, smaller than the blueberries available at the store, but just as delicious. Moving.

Today marks one week in my new home. I'm renting, with my boyfriend and two of our friends. I moved in last Friday, and took the week off work to fix the house up. It was a week of painting, cleaning, organizing, shopping for important house things, and building furniture from IKEA. It was pretty stressful, but now the house is ready to relax in!
