The Little Nuthatch
3x5 Art Challenge Day 3.
The 3x5 Art Challenge is going around the internet... you post 3 pieces of art for 5 days, and tag others to do the same. Foregoing the tagging, I thought I'd share mine on the good old blog. Day 3, these are all watercolor paintings I did 2006-2008. At this time I was painting mostly people. These are pieces I still sell prints of. Day 2, I share with you my first watercolor painting. I took a class in January 2005 and was hooked. Inspirational Artists I grew up on... Barbara Berger.
I don't have any new art to post, so let me share the art from one of my favorite books growing up: Animalia by Barbara Berger. The coloring and light in Animalia are just gorgeous and so well done. I am also a huge fan of borders in illustration. Barbara Berger writes about creating Animalia on her website here, and you can see more of her beautiful work there as well. Thank you Barbara Berger for being such an inspiration!
