I always spend a lot of time watching the birds at my parents place in North Carolina. They have so much personality. Â Â Â
North Carolina mountains.
I visited my parents up in the North Carolina mountains in mid November. It was clearly a time of transition from Fall to Winter. Leaves still falling, but most of them a dull brown already blanketing the ground and crunching loudly when you walk. Very few flowers, mushrooms, or insects. I haven't posted in a while but not for lack of things to post! Just busy! I promise this week I am going to post it all... starting with this- My latest bird nest! Bird Nest No. 28: American Goldfinches.
Here is Bird Nest No. 28, which is a pair of American Goldfinch with 3 almost-grown chicks in the nest. Happy little family! Old book pages and postage stamps decorate the nest, surrounded by vintage style velvet leaves. Â Also, mys hop has been updated to include the Penguins Field Guide and Bird Nests no. 25, 26, and 27.
